Brand Guidelines for Phi Sigma Chi Multicultural Fraternity

Phi Sigma Chi Fraternity’s brand guidelines are crucial for maintaining a consistent and recognizable brand identity. These guidelines provide a clear framework for how our fraternity should be represented across all platforms, encompassing everything from logos, color palettes, and typography to imagery and tone of voice. This consistency strengthens our brand recognition, builds trust with the wider community, and projects a unified and professional image.

These Phi Sigma Chi trademarks are for the exclusive use of the Fraternity. No third party may use or alter these graphics without express written permission from Phi Sigma Chi Fraternity or the appropriate licenses from the National Council.

Phi Sigma Chi brothers are encouraged to use these unaltered graphics for Fraternity marketing and operations. However, brothers may not alter these files in any way, nor may they attempt to recreate them. Always download the original artwork from this page.

Greek Letters

ΦΣΧ® is a registered trademark of Phi Sigma Chi Multicultural Fraternity.

Kerning

Kerning is the spacing between individual letters. Always download the fraternity’s Greek letters from the Brand Assets package which contains the letters with kerning applied correctly.

Logo

Phi Sigma Chi is an official registered trademark of Phi Sigma Chi Multicultural Fraternity, a New York State registered non-profit organization. All usage of “Ph Sigma Chi” must meet the standards and guidelines set forth by the National Council of Phi Sigma Chi Multicultural Fraternity.

Crest

Phi Sigma Chi Fraternity’s official crest. The full color version is the main and preferred version. The single color versions are to be used sparingly for marketing materials.

Do not use any color versions of the crest other than the full color, black and white, white transparent, or gold versions of the crest. Do not attempt to recreate the crest in different colors.

Mascot

The Eternal Phoenix

The phoenix is the official mascot of Phi Sigma Chi Fraternity.

Paraphernalia

To maintain brand consistency and quality, all Phi Sigma Chi Fraternity paraphernalia, including apparel (sweaters, jackets, shirts) and decorative items (tikis, plaques, hats), must be produced by official vendors. Paraphernalia is defined as any item displaying the Fraternity’s symbols or identifiers.

Colors
The official colors of Phi Sigma Chi are Crimson and Gold, and these are the only colors permitted for the Fraternity’s letters. Black is allowed solely as a border. For apparel, Metallic Red or Dark Red, and Metallic Gold or Old Gold are recommended to best represent the official colors.

Garment Placement Guidelines

  • Letters: Fraternity letters must be displayed across the chest or on the right side of the garment.
  • Crest: The Fraternity crest must be positioned over the left chest, except when used as a full chest design.
  • Left Arm: The chapter and line of initiation are to be placed on the left arm with the chapter placed above the line. Flags may also be placed below this information.
  • Right Arm: The semester and year of initiation are to be placed on the right arm.
  • Back of Garment:
    • Brother name may be placed at the top back.
    • Line number or image may be placed in the center back.
    • Line name or quote may be placed at the bottom back.
  • Symbol and Logo Usage: All Phi Sigma Chi symbols and logos must be used in good taste and in a manner that upholds the organization’s honorable reputation.
  • Content Alignment: All content and designs must reflect the values of Phi Sigma Chi.

By utilizing the Phi Sigma Chi trademarks outlined in these Brand Guidelines, you agree to adhere to these Phi Sigma Chi Trademark Guidelines (the “Guidelines”), as well as all other applicable rules and policies. Phi Sigma Chi Fraternity (“Phi Sigma Chi”) reserves the right to amend, modify, or revoke these Guidelines at its sole discretion without prior notice. These Guidelines govern your use of the Phi Sigma Chi trademarks. You are permitted to use the Phi Sigma Chi trademarks only for purposes expressly authorized by Phi Sigma Chi. Strict adherence to these Guidelines is mandatory at all times. Any use of the Phi Sigma Chi trademarks that contravenes these Guidelines will immediately terminate any authorization to use said trademarks. Phi Sigma Chi reserves the right to grant or withhold permission for trademark usage at its sole discretion and for any reason.

  1. You may not alter the Phi Sigma Chi trademarks in any manner, including, but not limited to, changing the proportion, color, or shape of the Phi Sigma Chi trademarks, or adding or removing any elements from the Phi Sigma Chi trademarks.
  2. The Phi Sigma Chi trademarks must appear by themselves, with reasonable spacing between each side of the marks and other visual, graphic, or textual elements.
  3. The Phi Sigma Chi trademarks should not be placed in any way that interferes with the readability or display of the entirety of the Phi Sigma Chi trademarks.
  4. You may not use the Phi Sigma Chi trademarks in any manner that implies sponsorship or endorsement by Phi Sigma Chi without an express written permission and license from Phi Sigma Chi.
  1. You may not use the Phi Sigma Chi trademarks to disparage Phi Sigma Chi, its chapters, members or services, or in a manner which, in Phi Sigma Chi’s sole discretion, may diminish or tarnish Phi Sigma Chi’s goodwill in the Phi Sigma Chi trademarks.
  2. You may not use the Phi Sigma Chi trademarks to refer to any other organization or company other than Phi Sigma Chi.
  3. You must display the following statement in materials that display the Phi Sigma Chi trademarks: “PHI SIGMA CHI is a trademark of Phi Sigma Chi Multicultural Fraternity”
  4. You acknowledge that all rights to the Phi Sigma Chi trademarks are the exclusive property of Phi Sigma Chi, and all goodwill generated through your use of the Phi Sigma Chi trademarks will inure to the sole benefit of Phi Sigma Chi. You will not take any action that is in conflict with Phi Sigma Chi’s rights in, or ownership of, the Phi Sigma Chi trademarks.
