On August 25, 2012 The Brothers of Phi Sigma Chi multicultural fraternity inc. patnered with New York Restoration Project on a Beuatification project at Highrbridge park.

Seventeen years ago, New York City Restoration Project began its run as a non-profit organization with the main purpose of revamping and rebuilding neglected neighborhood parks in economically disadvantaged neighborhoods of New York City. As of Today they own 52 gardens and work heavily in public parks keeping it clean for kids to have fun and learn, while also helping the neighborhood grow and function properly.

On Saturday at 9:00 am the brothers arrived at the park ready to volunteer. As they walked along the trails they learned some history about the park; such as how certain people from the community come to the trails to practice voodoo and kids come here to hang out. Towards the end of the event the New York restoration project admitted that they were pleased and thrilled to have us help, due to the fact that there are a limited amount of volunteers and every hand counts into making the community flourish.

Thanks to the brothers that participated (Duce, Origin, Disxiple and Belief).
